ALL SERVICES FREE OF CHARGE
- Community Pals -elementary students function as pen pals for the elderly in assisted living facilities
- Compassionate Companions - provides friendly visitors for seniors living
alone, and opportunities for seniors to visit the volunteer’s home; volunteers also run errands, read, or accompany the senior to a movie or symphony performance
- Financial Assistance - provides critical emergency financial relief with food,
clothing, utilities and rent assistance;
- Handyman Repair - offers minor home maintenance services from replacing
light bulbs, and mowing yards, to repairing fences. City code enforcement
citations also are handled for seniors
- Hearts and Helpers- elementary school students to college are engaged in
projects to help seniors
- Holiday Baskets - annual holiday distribution from Thanksgiving through
Christmas of dinner products to the homebound
- Loaves of Love - any individual age 60 and over can come on
Thursday mornings to Network to get free fresh bread
- Hearts and Helpers - interfaith youth groups work together to help elderly
and disabled citizens who have received property citations
- Medicare Counsel – expert advice on Medicare plans
- Money Management - bookkeeping assistance for low income seniors
having difficulty managing their finances
- Senior Seminars – a series of topics vital to seniors throughout the year
