WHAT IS A VOLUNTEER?

  • A person who chooses to act in recognition of a need, with an attitude of responsibility and  without concern for monetary profit, going beyond one's basic obligations.
  • Nearly 61 million Americans volunteered in their communities, giving 8.1 billion hours of service worth more than US$158 billion.
  • The volunteer hour is now estimated at US$20.25.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD VOLUNTEER?

  • Desire to give time to serve others
  • Desire to share your talents and gifts
  • Desire to support the NETWORK mission to : "care, coach, and empower our neighbors in need as they seek an improved quality of life."

WHY VOLUNTEER AT NETWORK?

Volunteering is working with others to make a truly meaningful difference in the lives of many children, families, adults and seniors. People volunteer at NETWORK for a wide variety of reasons and gain; being a part of community, a sense of achievement, new experiences, meeting diverse groups of people, development of pride in self and others, compassion, patience, understanding, self esteem, enjoyment, relationship skills, and having a positive impact on your own life.

Volunteering at NETWORK is giving back and enriching the community in which we live and work. But most of all its offering "a new day, a new way" to those in need that walk through our doors.
